Meet the Little Family

Sit down with the Gavin and Shelly Little, members of Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC), as they invite you to see a glimpse of their daily life, from the morning hustle to Community engagements and everything in between.

Transcript:

We’re Gavin and Shelley Little and we’re members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church. We have three children, Bryony, Eden and Walter and we’ve been married for 11 years.

A perfect day would start at about quarter to six, and we would go for a walk, and I shoot off to work while Shelley finishes the rest of her work. For breakfast, Walter has weet-bix and Bryony has nutri-grain. Then I would take them to school, I’d leave here at about half past.

I come home from work, Shelley’s normally preparing dinner, I often cook the meat on the barbecue, so the kids come outside. We do a little bit of down time, then it’d be dinner time, showers and then whoever’s going out [to the evening Church gathering] if we all are, or just myself.

Saturday is the day that we have the most amount of time to ourselves and we try to make the most of that with the kids. We might go for a swim; we might do a beach walk or a bike ride or walk along by the water. Our kids love the water, and so do we, so that is probably a big part of our downtime.

I love it when the holidays are coming up, as soon as Easter is around the corner that’s excellent, Christmas even better! We don’t celebrate the festival part of it because we celebrate that every Sunday.

Anything runs just like other families do with little kids, our kids make messes, our kids say naughty things or do naughty things, I get cross and I have my down days, I have my up days – we’re just normal people.
